Κουφαλίων, δήμος: Δήμος (10.757 κάτ.) του νομού Θεσσαλονίκης, που ανασυστάθηκε με το σχέδιο Καποδίστριας και αποτελείται από τον πρώην ομώνυμο δήμο καθώς και από την πρώην κοινότητα Προχώματος, η οποία καταργήθηκε. Έδρα του δήμου ορίστηκε η κωμόπολη Κουφάλια.
